Buer was a demon gladiator.

Personality[]
Unlike most demons, Buer seems to have accepted and adapted to his new life as a slave to humans. He willingly and eagerly attacks and kills any demon he is ordered to fight against and enjoys the cheers he receives from those watching the fight.
Plot[]
Shingeki no Bahamut Virgin Soul[]
Buer was captured, taken from his homeland and brought to Anatae as a slave for the humans, along with thousands of other demons.
While many of his brethren despised their current predicament, Buer accepted his duty of being a gladiator in the arena, fated to fight other strong demons to the death. In one match, many spectators urged him to kill his opponent which Buer did with ease.
The spectators proceeded to throw money into the ring and cheer for Buer. An announcement was made by the king's servant that Buer's strength has been acknowledged therefore he has been made Head of the Demon Division.
Charioce XVII prepares to deliver a signal but he is interrupted by the sudden arrival of Gabriel and Sofiel. The two request the return of the stone slabs the king had stolen along with Jeanne d'Arc. Charioce refuses and insists the gods must use force. Charioce's words instigate a war between him and the gods.
During the war, members of the Demon Division are tasked with standing on the front lines, a fact Buer points out to Alessand, much to Alessand's chagrin. Buer believes the humans will be safe watching the demons fight in the war from behind.
When numerous gods launch an attack, Buer charges into battle. One god however, kills Buer with a single projectile.[1]

Buer is regarded by the humans as being truly formidable, to the point that many humans adore him.
- Super Strength: Buer is an exceptionally strong demon, having survived numerous fights against other strong demons. He was strong enough to earn acknowledgement directly from Charioce XVII.
Weaknesses[]
Like all beings, Buer possesses a range of weaknesses.
- Gods/Angels: Buer was killed by a single projectile fired from an unnamed god.
In Lore[]
Buer is the name of a spirit that appears in the 16th century grimoire Pseudomonarchia Daemonum and its derivatives, where he is described as a Great President of Hell, having fifty legions of demons under his command. He appears when the Sun is in Sagittarius. He teaches natural and moral philosophy, logic, and the virtues of all herbs and plants, and is also capable of healing all infirmities (especially of men) and bestows good familiars.

- Buer is the only demon shown to actually enjoy serving the humans, aside from maybe the demon prostitutes.
