Grigori (グリゴリ, Gurigori) is a fallen angel and the leader of his own demon tribe.

Appearance[]

Grigori has shoulder-length white hair, light skin and two dark horns that curve slightly before pointing directly upwards, extending a few inches above his head. He dons a black armor and garb and has a pair of dark bat wings.

Personality[]

Grigori is a calm and composed demon who agreed with Lucifer that going to war with Charioce XVII was unwise when the demons were still unprepared.

Plot[]

Shingeki no Bahamut Virgin Soul[]

Grigori is first seen alongside other demons as they stand gathered around Lucifer. Each lieutenant worries about the future of the demon kind following the destruction of their home Cocytus and the capture and enslavement of three demon tribes, both events which occurred five years ago.

Grigori listens to Lucifer's opinion on the situation. Lucifer explains that it would be unwise to act right now since the power the humans used to harm them will eventually be too much for the humans themselves, as a result it will backfire on them as Belzebuth's attempt to use Bahamut had backfired on him.

Grigori is one of two lieutenants who agrees with Lucifer. Unless they have an actual means to fight back themselves, Grigori considers waiting for an opportunity to be the wiser choice. He tells this to the demon next to him.

Grigori is later seen assisting his fellow demons, fallen angels and the gods in defending Anatae from Bahamut's fire blasts.[1] He likely survives the encounter.

Power & Abilities[]

Grigori presumably possesses a degree of potential given that he stood among Lucifer's advisors and was able to assist in forming the defense shield against Bahamut.

Lore[]

Grigori is another term for a group of Watchers who fled Heaven and Fell to Earth to take human wives and conceive Nephilim offspring.

Trivia[]

  • "Grigory" or "Grigori" is a Russian masculine given name.
  • Grigori appears in the Genesis art book since he was intended to play the role of Martinet, but his physical resemblance to Lucifer and Azazel led the creators to scrap him and create Martinet instead.
  • In Virgin Soul Episode 15 end credits, Grigori is not listed by name but lumped in as "Demon Tribe Head", along with two other lieutenants.
